CESME

Hi peeps, do you already have plans for this weekend? I have to work tomorrow; I’ll shoot a editorial for a magazine and cover. YAY! So excited! On Sunday I’m free and hope to explore some beautiful places here in Istanbul. I’ll keep you posted.

Last weekend we went to Cesme for the weekend with lovely friends we met here in Istanbul and it was amazing. It’s sounds so cheesy, but it really was a wonderful weekend. We had a great time together with just the six of us and Cesme is cozy, romantic and fun. Great to visit with friends, but also perfect for a honeymoon. In that last case I recommend to go in September or October because then it will be less crowded and the water is still warm. I never walked into the sea this easily. Felt so goooodd!!

We stayed at the hotel called 7800 and our room was unbelievable. We even had a jacuzzi in our private garden. We didn’t spend much time there though. On Saturday we went to a beachclub called After Sunset where we enjoyed our day and watched the sunset which was really pretty… After that, we went back to our hotel, refreshed ourselves in about 30 minutes (I know, I was proud about myself too 😉 Haha!) and went for dinner at Ferdi Baba which is a famous seafood restaurant in Cesme. The dinner was delicious, the best seafood I’ve ever had, I think. So if you’re there, try to make a reservation. I’m sure you’ll like it if you love seafood.

On Sunday we stayed at the hotel. We did the necessary swimming, layed down at the pool, went into the jacuzzi in our room, layed down on bed, packed our bags, had dinner, drank a cocktail (the Espresso-Martini is really delicious!) and went back to Istanbul. This weekend definitely flew by too quickly.

Hereby some snaps of our lovely weekend at Cesme 🙂

At Saturday I ran into the Turkish friend of my father where I told you about in my lost blog and met his whole family. Such a coincidence that we run into each other here in Cesme!
