BUFFELSDRIFT

Buffelsdrift, the wonderful nature reserve where I would love to shoot one day! Janneke, the twin sister of my lovely friend Maayke did a modeling shoot there, and says it’s still one of her favourite shooting experiences ever. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hopefully I’ll get the chance to do so too while I’m based in Cape town, but if not, I’ll arrange it on my own, just as she did. It’s good to invest in yourself once in a while, and what better way than doing that with an elephant at your side 😉

Curious of her shoot result? Scroll the whole way down…

First though, a few pictures of our lunchtime at Buffelsdrift where we ate Ostrich for the first time. For all the non-vegetarians, you should definitely try it! It’s delicious..

During my time in Istanbul I loved to walk around in Kadakoy, an artistic area with little boutiques selling all kinds of crafts such as clothing, accessories and arts . In one of those cute stores I found this leather bag with wooden detail. The owner couldn’t tell me who designed it, and I haven’t  figured it out yet but if you do, please let me know 🙂

And now the results of Janneke’s shoot… Yes, I know, the photography and make-up is amazing. When you get to work with Richard or Juliette, it’s definitely gonna be a success. I haven’t worked with Richard, but Juliette worked her magic on me during the show for the intercoiffure and I loved it. She’s great, and started her own Hair and Make-up academy called Visious.
